OK so basically I've been fiddling with 1024_768.ini,I'm completely new to modding SH3,and I can't seem to find any decent tutorials on what exactly does what in there. However that said I've come up with a pretty decent redmask for the attack scope,(the only problem being the pop-up range/aob finder),but on the whole I think it gives a better night-time "feel".I'm doing this entirely for my own satisfaction and also being new here I would never presume to start messing with someone elses work and then posting mods grandstanding off the back of them,so for the time being I'm keeping this for myself,if OLC is happy for me to post it then of course I will be glad to.
I've started work on the mask for the obs scope but of course this is a little trickier given how different(and way better, might I add)the new size image is from stock.I've managed to get the basic rough circle but I'm getting stumped over making the circle "cut in" around the lock/scope updown unit top right,Crop command is still a bit of a mystery,If anyone could help out by explaining clearly how to crop I would be eternally grateful. ![]() Last edited by achilleez13; 11-25-07 at 06:43 AM. |

If you'd bothered to read my reply to your post in the OLC GUI thread the other day, you'd see that a new redmask (for the navmap only) is coming in the next version of the GUI.
But if you want to try to get the redmask in the scope views too, go ahead, and (seeing as you clearly didn't read the readme either) yes you have my permission to release whatever you like. ![]()

Posting on forums can be tougher than navigating submerged at night through a Bristol Channel minefield, seriously man, absolutely no offence has been meant,I did read and take on board your reply,as it goes I'd already replaced the old Night_Filter.tga for the navmap. No I did't read the readme and for that I apologise if I wasted time by asking about something which is explained within it.I've installed several great mods from here that people have obviously put an incredible amount of painstaking work into, yours being certainly one of the best implemented ,realistic and intuitive there is.All I'm trying to do is fix "that one last little thing" and I'd be entirely happy with my modded version of SH3 and so therefore actually get on with enjoying playing the game!
