I messed up something installing a new (to me) mod and uninstalled everything: SHII, Patch 1.1, PM 1.03, Fletcher's (totally rad) Oil Slicks and Fireballs, Subsim 1024 mod. Got a Janus error while loading and dumped everything and reloaded it again after having Registry First Aid reload an old backup. Got new Janus errors, fooled with it some more, now it's still crashing while loading.
![]() Here's the latest error: Fri Sep 21 09:05:28 2001 Error -1 [m_pCompass == 0] DirectX code: "Unrecognized error: 0xffffffff" C:\Devel\SH2\Sim\Sources\CSlidingNav.cpp Line 88 The first error message talked about the Navigation screen after crashing when I tried to go to the helm/control room. Is it possible this is caused by a corrupted DirectX 9.0? I'll try to reload it and see what happens, meanwhile I'll hope someone can help, thanks in advance.

I think the problem is that you forgot to install the PM hi-res fix, i.e. the patch for PM which did some minor changes to the 1024 res gauges screen to prevent those crashes

That must be it, Hitman. I have the German version, I'll do a search for the English. It seems to be working okay now but it's in 800. I'll need that fix again. Vielen Danke!
