Default Move Deck Gun?

Just out of interest in there any way you could move the Deck Gun from the Deck to the Conning Tower, ie one of the AA gun mounts??

Default Deck gun

Well I don't know if it will work, but you can try. Edit the UpgradePacks.upc file and seach for:

NameDisplayable= 3" 50 cal Deck Gun
FunctionalType= UpFTypeWeaponCannon
UpgradePackSlotType= USDeckGun

Replace UpgradePackSlotType= USDeckGun with UpgradePackSlotType= USHeavyAA and on the equipment room just drag the 3" 50 to the flack gun slot and check if it works.

If not you can also try to change FunctionalType= UpFTypeWeaponCannon with FunctionalType= UpFTypeWeaponFlak.

But realize that the 3" 50 will no longer be available as a deck gun and for sure will not be activated to shoot ships. It should be fun to see the 3" 50 shooting down planes :rotfl: .

Probably you need to tweak the elevatio angle to have the gun point to the skies. Check the tweak files for the flack and the 3" 50 deck gun and change the parameters.

It may not work and crash your game, but if you backup the files you can give it a try, and later trace back your changes.
