Target identification

I've tried searching but no joy, at least not the answer I'm looking for.

I've just moved up to Ver 1.5 with the appropriate TMO and RSRD. I was aware that TMO had some sort of Target ID feature but I'm damned if I can get it to work.
I've had the manual open and/or closed and the target locked and I've tried "Ctrl I" but no joy. What exactly is "target ID" feature in TMO supposed to do/show?

Funny thing is that I've never used that....
All I work on is speed, range and AOB..
