Take a gander at this screenshot, and notice the date.

An allied airbase on Iwo Jima in June of '44? Is the airbase just the wrong color?

Just looked at the aircover mis files. :hmm: refresh my history, when did we take over Iwo jima? Looks like we might have a genuine bug here jim.

I prefer to think that it was my stellar performance in prosecuting a submarine war against Japan that allowed us to take Iwo Jima almost a year earlier than real life.

i think this is stock error honestly. Some things like that just go by unnoticed for a long time.
