That is pretty cool now they just need to do an IS-WAS and a banjo for SH4!

That is quite clever and quite creative! We have some very talented people on this forum.

Wow. Thanks for the heads up Bill.
Okay, so who's going to jump on this for SH4?

I was thinking of doing an ISWAS for SH4 after I'd finished with the SH3 mod. I already have some images prepared. Hadn't thought about a banjo. That was a hand operated angle-solver, right? So it's output would be similar to the SH3 TDC.
However I seem to recall hearing that there was a definite limit on putting new objects in the menu1024-768 file. Is this so, and what's the limit? joe

The wiz-wheel for SH4 would be nice, specially for S-Boats, since it serves both as target data tool and angle solver. However, note that it has actually TWO rotational wheels in the back besides the fixed background, and I'm not sure if they can be operated without reseting the tool when you move the second
![]() The banjo would suffer the same problem :hmm: P.S. did you all know that german attack scopes had an integrated banjo in a second ocular? ![]() ![]()

I think it could be done if you wanted a mod that completely removed the TDC+PK from the S-boats.
Did S-boats still have gyro-angle control, or were all Mk10 torps fired straight ahead?

Yes they were able to input any desired Gyro Angle into the torpedo. However, that Gyro was calculated with the Banjo and wiz wheels, not with the TDC

Hm stock SH4 actualy already have that. It doesnt look so detailed but it works. Its just many people dont realise that they have it.
Just look at the upper left corner of your TDC. The two dials IS actualy the wizwheel. The both rings are just not combined like in real. The upper ring represents the target with its true course. The lower your true course and torpedo course. You can solve gyro angle and angle on bow with it. |
