Hope they do not plan to do this with tanks! Would kill all the fun. "Gunner, balsa tank ten o clock, fire, fire torch"...? Not for me, please. And when I park that thing I want it to leave a footprint on the ground that will be remembered.

What's next gonna come? Sabot-light? HEAT slim line?

Female tank drivers...???

I think the UK still uses plastic airbourne ultra-light tanks. :hmm:

I wonder if they have done test to see what type of shrapnel is produced when one of these are hit with a IED. Part of me thinks, wow . . . going to the looney bin to get military equipment ideas . . . like some of those wierd no-go ideas from WWII (like the Ice Carrier). Wouldn't this money be better spent developing lighter, and better Mine Protected Vehicles?
