Default actualy tomarrow for me guys

Bando and Sober

I have to go to bed and it will take me time to write down all the changes then make the thread so people can do the changes manualy to keep all the other effects they want in that scene file. There is over 48 lines of data that have to be changed using the mini tweeker in the scene file to make this work!

Default Just as a teaser

It will be called the living breathing ocean!

In the old days mariners went out to see not just because of their jobs or the money it was because of the facination with the sea in all it's beauty and complexities. Today people love to go to the ocean not just to swim but to watch it and listen to it as well!

This game was missing all of that. We spend almost all of our time on the ocean but it never held a facination for me so I went to a friend of mine to learn about wave coeficants and armonics and started working on this before I went into the hospital for my own game. Since I got out I decieded to finish it and I will presenting it all maybe today or tomarrow.

The second reason why I did this was to eliminate all flying subs and ships and give a truly life like living force to the ocean that no longer does it's own thing and ignors everything in it! Now it interacts with everything that touches it. Also everything that moves through it now has to interact with it as well!

Leovampire...
Sounds absolutely fascinating.....and complex....
Looking forward to your finished product.

Would it be safe to assume that most of your work will involve major changes to the Scene dat file or are there other areas where your working in.

Cheers!

Default nope sorry beyond my abilities

Just made the ocean come alive and have a total rime and reason to it! Sea foam now appears with newly formed waves and fallows them. The ocean is truly influenced but the wind speeds and directions of the wind. Created a living force to the ocean with a current. Best example I can give is when I left Pearl to head for Honshu I had 10 days of stormy seas and storms, normaly a trip at 12knts that distance take's about 14 days or so but it took me over 28 days to get there because of the storms it actualy made a difference in travel time.

There will be times it will look like your crawling through the ocean because sometimes it will be travling at you at almost the same speed you going at and other times seem like you have sped up the game because your moving with the curents.

And in the real storms you can watch the balast tank guages to the left of the dive planesman filling up with water and moving out again as the waves force their way inside and get pushed out again. And in the radar room you might even get sea sick!

All of this is done in the Scene file with N Drifters mini tweeker thanks to him for making that or this would be beyond me for some time yet!

I am going to present it two ways;

A step by step method of changing it and make it a mod of your own to add because a lot of people are using mods that change the scene file in other areas and I don't want them to lose what they wanted in the first place.

And a downloadable mod to just install using JSGME so people will have a choice of what to do and lose nothing else for chosen effects. Trying to document all the changes now so I can make the Mini tweeker thread for manual changes.

that looks cool!

btw, the taihosan fix has been changed to v2.0. Alternately open the mod and delete the dat file, only the zon file is needed for the fix to work.
