Stuck on Repeat Missions

My career is down the toilet

Im in Pearl Harbour, and I keep getting the patrol mission for shipping off the marshall islands. Ive read some threads about this problem but :

I can never find any shipping to kill there. I even tried diving, turning off engines and then doing sound sweeps to no avail. So then I tried heading to someplace nearby to for commerce raiding and even when I reported to base when I was heading back Im on my fourth marshall islands patrol

What do I do? I'm not able to request a transfer either.

Go to the marshalls and patrol there if it's a ptrol objective (stay on the star for two days) or if you get a sink merchants mission jsut go someplace else and sink your tonnage.

If you are using 1.3 then, once the star turns grey, radio in. You will receive a new patrol objective.
