Wasn't easy the first time, took my IXD2 to the end of the war. Pretty much renewed my entire crew at least 4 times. ![]() Second was easier, in a VIIC. Still, not easy. It totally depends on where & how you hunt. Alot of my time in the D2 was spent on very long patrols to the US/Caribbean, so burnt most of my time there. One thing I will say, after the blood, sweat & tears you would like to get a better ending than 'The war has ended!' ![]() ![]()

currently feeling the strain in May of 1943 on shore leave for the time being.
constant aircraft attacks deep reaching ASDIC Radar's icy fingers reaching out to me at all hours of the day and night. the perils are many, and the survivors are few. GWX crew did a great job of adding that realism to the game. quite frankly you dont have much hope of surviving the war as a U-Boatsmen. the allies just became so experienced and methodical of their supression of the U-Boats by 1943. Read on Uboats.net you will be amazed when you read the losses for 43 onwards... many of the boats had completed only a single patrol and had never even fired a shot. Also consider that for every boat down there went 50+ men with her. ![]() If the U-boat war is the hell... then GWX is the devil
