attacking a convoy? I can't get past the escorts on anything. I've never even completed a quick mission. First, I can't get past the destroyers without trying to sink them. second, then the rest of the fleet gets away by the time i'm done dodging the destroyers and i can't catch up to the rest of the convoy. anyone?

The short version.

Attack from the middle out.

Go deep and scoot into the middle of the convoy. Have as many settings set on your torps preset (speed, depth) as possible. Rise up to attack / periscope depth. Rip off a few shots... all of them if you have time.

Go back deep and reload and repeat.

Remember, underwater, and stealthy you move as slow as a slug in comparrison . . . once you spot a convoy, think about its heading and rate of travel . . . once you have that, think of the angle which you want to attack them from . . . then speed up away from the convoy, and go ahead of them and then approuch from your prefered angle of attack . . . and get in their path . . . you're to slow to try to play catch up . . . then line up your shots . . . fire and dive deep dive slow dive quietly . . . and listen for the explosions
