I'm working on a new custom mission and would like to use an event to trigger a contact report on two of the convoys that I have created in this mission. Specifically when each of the convoys reaches a certain waypoint I would like to have a contact report sent to the US Submarine. Is this possible to do? Also, how does one go about doing this. I'm feeling like a real noob using this editor, mainly because it is so new to me.

Theoretically (lol, I seem to be using that word more and more when talking about the mission editor..
![]() Second best method I can think for doing it is to use a time trigger set to the specific time the convoy passes the waypoint (you should be able to get the exact time via the ETA tool which gives you the arrival times for each waypoint in an Instances path.) should the convoy be dalayed, of course, the trigger will still broadcast the contact report from wherever the convoy currently is but I guess this is still the better work around. Let me know how you find the 'Update instance) trigger - I haven't really used it but that seems to be what it is for. |
