Default Boarding the Yamato!!

After a good start on my 4th patrol in my S-38, I got a task force report not to far away. Intercepted, and found 2 Yamatos, 2 Fusos, several cruisers and a load of DD's. Fired all 4 loaded torpedoes into the last Yamato in the line and dived. Apprently I knocked out the engine, but I didnt sink her. As you probobly guessed the rest of the TF moved on, leaving it there, dead in the water.

So, I reloaded and fired my last torpedo at it - no effect. Then, I surfaced about 6000m out, and fired my last 10 HE shells at it - no effect. It didnt even fire back.

Amazed by this, I decided to run closer at ahead flank, just to see how close I needed to be before it spotted me. Comming in from its side, I was 100(!!!) meters away from it before it spotted me and turned its guns towards me. Had to make a hard turn to avoid ramming it... however, it doesnt seem that it can lower its guns enough to fire at time. Guess it needs a hug now

Proof this is in carrer mode (if anyone care);

Neat!!. I came across 2 task forces on my travels . The 1st I sank a Kokaku aircraft carrier and against the 2nd one I sank an Ise Battleship. Only 4 torps to sink the carrier which I fired at 7800 yards. The destroyers couldn't find me in that attack. The battleship though took 8 torps to sink her but not after having been chased by screens when one of my torps detonated prematurely.

Japaneses have too many warships, they build yamatos as if it were sanpans and don´t have enough sailors for crew. :rotfl:
