Default Torpedo Settings?

Does anybody know how to change the default from slow/magnetic to fast/contact?

If you change settings & then use another tube it has defaulted back!

Would save lots of mouse clicks & time i could spend missing sitting targets.
Still a noob.

Thank you

For me, changing from slow to fast stays until I either fire the tube or until I load a saved game. No matter what I do, switching from Contact/Influence to just Contact clicks back in a minute or two. I hear it click, and can even watch it change if I sit there with torpedo settings on.

Go to SH4\data\menu\cfg\dials. Find dial2 then change dialval to DialVal=45,0 You also need to change dial55 further down the page. Change dialval to DialVal=40,0

Forget to say this is just for the pistol button

Annoying aint it.

That being said Ive had good success using the default contact/influence so I just dont bother with it anymore.

Working as intended premature detonations were more or less commonplace.

If you are firing at a moving target from longish range the faster torps are better.

Will play with dial settings to see if it can be fixed.
