Wow great find, It would have been cool if some of the aircraft;s crew survived and had to "share" the life raft with the Germans. and i also wonder where the German POWs got sent, would they be sent to South Africa cause it was closer. But if they were, the Brits would have to watch them more cause of the Dutch Afrikaans, they mainly sided with the Germans.

Lloyd Trigg is the only ever recipient of the Victoria Cross to have recieved that award based *only* on the testimony of the enemy.

Others have been awarded the VC based in part on testimony of the enemy, but in all these cases the enemy testemony has been backed up by allied witnesses.

Makes me proud to be a kiwi
