Default Saved Campaign CTD

I know that the radio log bug has been addressed and a work around inplemented, However when I load up my saved career game (around 6000 yds from a task force) the game runs untill i try to move the camera view or access any station. I am also getting "New radio message recieved" is this a subset of the radio log bug, or something completely new?

I had a very similar situation on my second mission on a saved game load. Moving the external view in particular caused a CTD but not always at exactly the same point. It didn't seem to be connected to any radio message. The save game was set just before I was due to finish off two remaining freighters I'd already torpedoed which weren't moving and were listing heavily. The CTD happened after I took out the last one (either) with the deck gun and then switching to the external view.

I ended up finishing them off, switching to the map screen and staying on that until I got back to port.
