Why do all the components need to be a-magnetic?
Can't you just have a electrical degaussing system on? Is that the same thing? Do degaussing systems leave electromagnetic signals that can be picked up by ASW? Please exscuse my ignorance.

I think degaussing is only an option on nukes due to the amount of power it takes, it wouldn't be an option when on batteries.
