Default Do we get air support?

Something cool happened to me yesterday in SH3.i was patrolling in the middle of the atlantic when i got a radio message. there was a task force quite near me. i decided to go and have a look.I managed to sink 2 warships be4 3 big warships started to DC me.i dived to 150 and silent run and turned full to port so it would be harder to hit me.they threw dc's at me for hours and my boat was already finishing up it's last minutes when i heard lots of explosions of surface. switched to external view and saw a bunch of allied fighters shooting at the warships.fighters kelled them all and saved my crews skin. How did they know to come there?was ita coincidence?

Sometimes if you send a report they come. If this convoy was reported to you, another uboat has spotted it. Luftwaffe alerted and they come. Does not happen all the time though.

This happened to me once off the coast where Bergen is on the deep water there, I got a contact report of a ship nearby to me, so I closed to investigate, it was a great big whopping 10,000 ton large cargo. So as I am chasing up behind him at flank, next thing he is attacked and sunk by a small squad of planes. I was going mental! I was like OMG!!! How could you?! Soften him up for me, but don't sink him!!! Yep, they sank him.

A lot of the radio messages are 'eye candy' However, reports are a 'reality' If you send a contact report then a number of parameters come into play ie; location of target, range from nearest friendly airbase, weather etc.

I don't think he said that it was GWX....so I don't be to sure that it's "eyecandy", 'cause there is no such things in stock SH3......

Yep there's air support

But they can take a beating same as you can.

Called in these guys while raiding Dunkirk, they did well but none of them got out alive.

Oh and one of them mistook my submerged boat for an airstrip, only just missed me.
