Default Question about latitude vs grid system

I have now installed SH3 commander and cwx. Very great Really liked it.

I just got one problem. Sometimes over the radio i get cordinates
in latitude, N45 W45,etcetc, but on my map i dont have this
cordinate to find the place, here i have the grid, like AF87,etc

How can i fix this? Very nooby question but i can't figure it out.

There's nothing to fix. You can pretty much ignore those types of messages. They're just eye-candy to make the game "more interesting/more absorbing". Any valid messages will use the standard grid system that everyone is accustomed to.

Converting from one system to the other is not as straight forward as it would seem, but the bottom line is that there is no need to.

Al those radio messages that you're getting aren't real for the most part, but where rather added by the GWX team (I'm assuming that's the mod that you meant) to create "ambiance" and the notion that "you're not alone in the world". When you do get a radio contact that is real, it won't really generate a radio message most of the times (allthough in some not-too-common cases it will), but will rather show up as a contact icon on your navigation chart... hence you'll know where they are... right there

edit: sorry for the repetitive post, got beat to it.

Welcome aboard, prepare to forget about sleep, hygiene and food. Fromm now on your only concern should be to sink as much tonnage as possible for the glorious Fatherland and to get your men home alive!

All of those message in Long\Lat are real historical messages sent by uboats\BDU during the war
They have no bearing ingame however and are meant to make you feel that you are not alone

If you really want to find out the grid that those coordinated refer to, go to this site. Enter the Long, and Lat, and then request information and it will tell you what grid or grids it refers to.

I swear, theres a website for EVERYTHING. I'd NEVER have figured someone would have a need for THIS particular function.

Well, that just goes to show what I know
