Default SH4 improvements

I prefer the look of the the bottom of the screen toolbar in SH4. Those small dials in SH3 drove me crazy. Looks like there are some fun things to play with.

Compared to the other screenies we've seen this screenshot looks crappy.

I was only interested in the toolbar look and layout. Plenty of other screenshots out there to show the water enhancements.

I love that you can drag things around the screen.

What are those two icons top-right? I'm almost tempted to believe the first one is a warning indicator of Flooding, while the second indicates high Co2 levels. Or it could be icons you can click to see those levels. Or maybe it's something else.

Oh, and notice the padlock in the bottom right corner? Looks like you can manipulate the toolbar, too (or maybe hitting the padlock unlocks the famous safe:p?).

This'll be so awesome.

I found myself trying to hold the mouse over the icons to find out what they do.
I hate screenshots.

Skipper's often used electric glide on the enemy due to the smoke and noise those
big fairbanks morse diesel engines (same ones in the trains) made.

Yes, this is going to be quite a sim ... I hope we can do better than history by learning from their mistakes.

Does anyone know if AI is variable?

Its probably just an early build, one of the drawbacks of releasing screenshots throughout development. Mabe a crappy computer but does anyone have one of those anymore ?

The water will look awesome in the game. I just wanted to find a good quality toolbar screenshot.

Yet nobody has seen fit to question how they are getting a sound contact AND identifying type while running at speed on the surface.....I hope THAT is something able to be disabled in the preferences.

"Realistic Sensors" = one of the banes of subsims!!

I wonder what the horizontal slider in the message-box does...maybe to set transpancy of the box?
