That's probably a push-back. He has to shut down both engines for a push-back. You don't see all the people on the wings and struts pushing too. There's always a guy on the radome pushing because he has an unobstructed view of the wing tips.

The funny one is the guy who stuck his hand in the "football" of a EA6B and got his wedding ring welded to some gear when the power arc'd. Guy survived along with all his fingers, with just some minor scorching from the short time before the circuit breaker blew. I don't think I've got that picture any more, but it was a good one.

I was watching spike tv and one of their 'craziest video' segments showed a crewman being sucked into the intake of a Prowler. He survived the ordeal with a few bruises they said.

yep, he got a ribbon of clothing stuck on a part of the engine inlet, saving his life. One lucky fellow.

Planes are not above eating their owners if neglected nourishment-wise, making them a tad bit more demanding than your average cat.

Never forget to feed the plane.

But yes, that could've ended pretty horribly. I'm glad he lived (wouldn't joke about it if it had ended worse than that).

I remember a friend of mine years ago told me of why he was discharged from the service..he told me was was aboard and aircraft carrier, dont remember which, and he said he saw a crewmen pass behind a jet and it fired it's thrusters and the man melted....he said they hosed him off the deck with a hose into the sea...which I can understand as I would'nt think there would be much left...this incident haunted him I guess so the gave him a medical discharge....never forget him telling me that story.

funny stuff huh?

I feed my plane with live kittens every morning.

Well, I would, if I had a jet.
