How do you take screenshots in Windows XP?

As per the title of the topic. I am trying to benchmark my new PC which I built over the Christmas period. How can I take pictures (screenshots) of my Windows desktop which displays my system temps and benchmarking software in action? This is something that embarrassingly I have not tried before. Any help would be most appreciated.

Press "Print Screen" (PrtScr) on your keyboard, then start MS Paint and select Edit/Paste. Or use Fraps:

On my keyboard, Print Screen won't work for screenshots unless the F-Lock funtion has been turned on. This is because, on my keyboard, the F Keys and Print Screen (and others as well) share physical keys with other key names (Print Screen Shares one key with Insert, for example). So this may be important to note for some users who have similar keyboards.

I have been tied up post New Years but I'm stating to work on it now. In short the build went almost without a hitch except for one or two scares. I'll hopefully update that thread within a week with pics and the all important benchies. The only game that I have played on it so far has been SHIII with GWX and all I can say is wow. With my old system I was missing out on so much graphical content not to mention time acceleration (1024) was a real pain. Not any more ie. 2048 plus but as I said I'll update that earlier thread when I can.

I'm the same. I had to make sure that F-lock was turned on as you described.

I will post all my benchies in the below thread within the next week. They will be with my system running at stock speed/default values. After that then I will begin raising the bar and see how far that I can go with it.
