Default Chaseing Ghost ships

Feb 10th 1940 I get a radio message from BDU to my boat U-123 saying that the "Ark Royal" will be in the western side of the channel on the 13/02 and the Exeter on the 14/02 heading to either Portsmouth or Dartmoth escorted by 2DD arrived at the westernside of the channel to be precise I was about 46km sw of Plymouth if sthey were heading for Dartmouth I was in a prime position and if they were heading for Portsmouth I would be within intercept range. I wasted 2 bloody days there no bloody carrier or cruiser spent most of my bloody time dodging DDs and corvets. whats the bloody point of sending a message like that if nothing turns up?

mostly they are, but some game info in them too.
but to answer the OP's questions,

what matters is what countries are at war for the time you are playing.

Yes, You must be absolutely sure that the Country the ship is at war with Germany, you can attack, if you attack a neutral or a ship that Germany is NOT at war with, you will receive a negative renouwn and you don't want that.

As far as I know there was only 1 ark royal in ww2 and that was a aircraft carrier and if am not mistaken the Exeter was a british Cruiser.

Yep, the Exeter was a York-class heavy cruiser (1929) ~ 8300 tons, and featured in the Battle of the River Plate. The only other ship in the class was HMS York.

The Ark Royal was indeed the only ship of that name in WW2, and was a 22,000 ton ship of unique design (smaller than the Illustrious class carriers of the RN)

Cheers,

Dan
