GWX is trash...

the British DDs and Ships and General are so Beautiful that i went too close yesterday night DC ed to death in too shallow water

CONGRATS TOO THE GUY WHO PAINTED THE BRITISH SHIPS!!!1!11!11!1
holy cow man you got a good taste in colours and weathering.

THE MANUAL IS A WASTE OF TIME and jhust goes to undermine the Kriegsmarines Fighting Power by keeping the Kaleuns stuck at reading and reading learning and enjoying a PDF document instead of sinking tonnage!!
Kill the guy who wrote that thing!!:p
I dont need to know all that... really dont.
I will jhust keep trying the Dover passage on and on and on

I ask for a formal enquiry and subsequent executions!!

Great fun really; went fro, Kiel (holy shi t) to Wilhelmshafen, and had a superb time on that small trip!!

my life will never be the same again!
thank youuuuuuuuuuuu

Another negative about using your deck gun is that you are definately DETECTED, which has long term effects on your relationship with aircraft. -snestorm

I agree man, the new skins are very creative and weathered just right. Certainly a fantastic addition to the game, no doubt. Furthermore, there a great varity of skins for the same vessel which is also awesome. It amazes me what has been done with the game and GWX.

Thanks for the good thoughts mate.

You can blame Boris, Ichneumon, and Fubar for all the great ship skins... in all the navies.

Pablo, composed our manual (and is updating as we speak for our January 31st cumulative update.)

My advice is to not go anywhere near the English Channel... there be sea-monsters!

the only gripe i have:
in a convoy i took outt a whale factory...
and that created havoc. all the ships runing in total confusion fwd bckwd... lots of noise in the water.

how the feck do two Hunt DDs still manage to find me, in a depth of 180 m in the middle of all this action.

my point:
i dont like to be forced silent running at one knot in 1939 at that deppth.
Gonna adjust that to my sense of liking

ya think im a hardcore Kaleun or what eh...

like the Damage model too; been using iub before.
big fun with the deck gun now, all shaking and moving in all 3 planes

special mention to the ship wrecks in the harbors too.... man does that improve the sense of being there.

Jeeeesussss

A few have been saying this about the DD. I have yet to experience this issue. Are the DD better, yes, sure are but I have been able to elude every time. I went by DD in a convoy in day light without issue and last night completed a surfaced night attack. I got into the convoy and was swapping paint with the merchants. Not until my first torpedo went off did the DD wake up. Sure they focused on me quickly as well as the other merchants but I eluded them again. Currently I'm at 100 meters loading 4 more torpedos. The DD have moved on with the convoy. I'll be back on the same night surfaced for more havoc in the convoy. I believe the DD are pretty accurate. IMHO. Most u-boats did send out torpedos and dive deep. GWX has forced this reality on us!

As you can see I'm a staunch supporter of GWX. Anyone who puts this kind of work into a free mod gets my vote everytime

totally agree on the ebove

but in a noise rich environment how do the DDs tell from a sneaking Sub or two dozen Ships moving in all directions? November 39 with hardly any experience at all?
these brits cat have any idea how my sub sounds at this time of the war...?? and not in that situation, i think tyhat it is impossible.

3 hours from initial attack, i still do take DCs, although unaccurate. they see me cant get me.

anything more than a knot is not possible, and let alone recharge Eels...

Late 42 or mid 43, i ll agree on the accuracy, but for this time of war, i ll touch the AI sensors a bit...

on all else, i too take my Hat off and Bow deeply, amazed. no crap. ask my girlfriend whos not happy at all with this *mod*.:hmm:

Silent Hunter III v 2.0 that is

Wen you go to adjust the sensors could you patch a copy of that off to me? Have been running into killer DD's as well in early war. I love he effect with the charges now, where the boat will rise or sink based on detonation location. The ass of my boat actually broached the surface when a charge detonated under the rear.

Funny to see how some members can say that GWX is trash and the hint is taken that he means something else.

If I tried to pull a joke like that...oh good grief!!

The reputation you have, is the one you made. It was yours to create or destroy from the beginning.

I agree there should be some more confusion when you running underneath the convoy and they are all in a frenzy. Once I made my announcment with my torpedos going off, I crashed dived and hard knuckle right (I ask my engineer to take this manuver). The DD were on me but very confused. I'm at 100m loading torpedos going 2kts. No silent running and they lost me in the confusion. The DD are 1000m behind me and the convoy is 1000m or so ahead of me. I'm thumbing my nose at them. Soon my torpedos will be loaded and I'm going back up. My initial attack I I came into the convoy from the stern at 17kts. No one did a thing other than sink!
Try things that you think will not work and see what happens. I did not think to load torpedos because of detection. I was wrong, we be loading w/o issue. I'm going to hound this convoy all the way to Gibraltar screw getting to my patrol zone

Well, as someone who doesn't get to sail just to play the game much... when I DO get to sail... It is hard to keep my jaw off of the floor.
