Default Casualties and Medics

Ahoy shipmates....If you have an injured man or men and you have a medic onboard how does your medic heal the casulaties, is it just a case of placing these men in the same compartment as the medic and he does the rest or is there more to it. I have one medic onboard.

According to some that is correct but according to others (and this includes me) there doesn't appear to be any obvious signs that the medic does anything

Yes, he does. My two last patrols I put the wounded (two flak gunners) in the same compartment as the medic, and they were both healed a couple of days later.

Normally I'll place the medic in one of the crew compartments and place injured crewmen there with the medic.

I do have to admit, though, that I've only had two instances of wounded crew in over several hundred patrols. It's usually all-or-nothing, it seems, with me: either we all come back on our shields, healthy and whole . . . or we all are feeding the fishes.

Yeah, I've only had two casualties over about 20 patrols or so.

I think it depends on the sort of wound, if it's a flesh wound then no problem but if it's a shot thru the head and bleedin all over the banana's then get the medic in ASAP [usually find him skiving in the Stern Quarters]

Better to put the Medic and the wounded man in the same compartment.
