Currently writing code to rip 3D meshes from an old Xbox 360 Game.
That Game used the RAW format instead of the standard GR2 format like SH5 uses.
Seems I'm the Granny Expert on that Forum.

Icon9 Pe$ky business

...enjoying my morning cuppa-joe, reading the Wall Street Journal, and watching Unforgiven. Later in the day, my bride and I are off to sign our income tax returns at our tax preparers office, and dineout for lunch. I already sent the federal and state checks in 2 days ago...with the US flag postage stamps upside down to reflect that: "the nation is in peril!" The good news is: both my return checks will nearly offset my tax payments.

Glad I don't have to pay any tax now - although that does mean I'm very poor

The house went on the market this morning and up to this point we have three viewings booked for tomorrow and two for Friday.

Hope at least a couple of them aren't just tyre kickers.

Third one to view has made a cash offer equal to the asking price so hopefully it'll be smooth sailing from now on.

Had to do some "Heavy Duty Thinking" today....Do I follow my heart or my head??? No better place for "Meditation" than the good old Art Gallery of NSW.

I still haven't visited their new extensions.....to me it looks like a building site, and the architect's taste is in their backside. Whereas the old building is magnificent. One of the halls, with some woke "Dutch Ovens" towers....I swear they're chamber pots, and the Artist is having a GIANT lend of the Public.

Good to see a lot of my old favourites again.

A new addition.....a display cabinet with newspaper clippings, survivors accounts, watercolours done by ex soldiers that were there, and all sorts of relevant stuff.

Poor confused Chinese tourist...

A link to the painting and many excellent closeups of it.

Great pictures, Eisenwurst. Thanks for sharing them. I had to take a couple courses in College in the " Humanities. " One I took was Art. I had an Arts professor who was an older Woman. She was really into Art. I liked all of the Artists from different periods and styles including Rembrandt, Raphael and Cezanne. My favorites were Michelangelo and Leonardo Da Vinci. They were true visionaries.

It would be great Jeff if you came with sub-titles. One day you will have to explain coding to us.

Hi Robert, thanks. G. Williams is one of my favourite modern painters. He has vast talent, and is highly collectible.

Alva Tadema and Edwin? Long are also "up there" IMO. Long in particular was criticized by his teachers for not being good enough, but went on to produce some absolute masterpieces.

You're welcome, Arnold. That Glynn Williams guy is an awesome modern painter. I would put Glynn up there with Thomas Kincaid. I mean that. Thomas was famous for the mass reproductions of his works. We have a number of them in the House. These are but two of the ones we have. I didn't pick them out. We found them at a Garage / Yard sale.

I find myself looking at them a lot. They remind me of simpler times and fond memories

Continuing the theme....Inspiration.

This guy's a good presenter, likeable, non pretentious. I first "encountered" Alva Tadema at my local Macdonalds of all places. The owner was an Art Lover and had real Class. There were prints of famous paintings all over the place. All gone now
