Torp failure: Yes - can be very frustrating at times, though it is turned down in the base mod. Looking to do an add-in that cranks it up a pinch.
Historical traffic: No - at least, not in the lurker sense. There are pieces of "historical" we put in, and we try to simulate the traffic patterns, levels and escorting of merchants as time progresses, but we did not attempt an RSRDC-type campaign. Another future possibility, but that is a LOT of work.
