When traveling submerged, the slower you go, the less the batteries wear down and drain, so Ahead One Third is recommended for best length of time to travel. Also, do not be seen by the airplanes when you are traveling on the surface, and Crash Dive when an airplane is spotted, turning your submarine toward, or away from the airplane, to minimize the silhouette of your submarine. If you are not seen, the airplanes will not be around as often. When you are seen, you will have to stay down a while, and it is best if you change direction a bit, since it is rather predictable how far a submarine can travel in a given length of time.
