When I got out of the Navy in '75 the first thing I did was go car shopping. In the basement lot of the downtown Buick dealer I found (and fell in love with) one of these ('57 T-Bird, in red):

Unfortunately, it was about a thousand more than I could afford, so I ended up getting one of these (1975 and a half MGB):

Turned out to be one of the best cars I ever tried to destroy by driving

I wish I still had either one
