That's about as QED as it gets.
I read O'Kane's book several times.. the last many years ago unfortunately. but it's funny how some of these things stick with you... more as an impression or "understanding" of what it should be, than as specific sources for reference.
Unfortunately, that doesn't carry many usenet or web board debates.
