Donut, sorry That box showing PM's is so damn small I don't even notice it. I've fixed that prob by enabling email notification of new PM's, and the pop-up if I'm logged in when I get one.

As far as any "fixes" I did on Sergbuto's mod, the symptom I and others were having was the camera pitching up/down at the same time as moving forward/back. Like you're in a plane that's doing a loop. Also, panning left/right with mouse was very shaky. I "fixed" those by remapping the cursor keys in Commands.cfg to the numpad arrow keys (which corrected the pitch up/down problem when using cursor keys for movement) and by changing 3 rotation values in Cameras.dat to 0.

As it turns out, NONE of that was necessary - I had a "Copy of Cameras.dat" in my Library folder and that was the entire cause of the problem SH4 was reading Sergbuto's modded Cameras.dat and the "Copy", and merging them together. So the cursor keys got Sergbuto's new movement effect, and also got the default pitch up/down behavior from the unmodded "Copy of Cameras" file. So when you tried to move, in addition to moving, the camera also rotated up/down.

All I had to do was delete "Copy of Cameras.dat", undo all my changes to Commands.cfg and reinstall Sergbuto's mod. It worked perfect after that!

Now on to your question - the problem is the camera not returning to the default position after you move it and go to the next ship?

If so I believe that's by design, so you don't start out so far from the other ships next time you use the cam. If you point the camera away from a ship then hit ">" or "<" to move to the next one, that ship won't be visible - the camera will still be pointing in whatever direction it was with the last ship. The camera remembers it's distance, height and bearing when you move to other ships. Just pan the camera around and you'll find the ship!

If that's the issue, I don't have a clue how to fix it. But I'll look at it if I get time today and see if I can figure it out!

Sounds like you already editted Commands.cfg to enable "<" and ">", to verify, the commands to uncomment are [Cmd50] and [Cmd51].

If you're getting some other bizarre behavior such as the camera "looping" while moving, look in Library folder for another copy of Cameras.dat and delete it if you find one!

Apologies again Donut, I wasn't ignoring you I just didn't notice the PM's

DH
