After U-53 having sustained great damage early on the patrol. I, Kptlt. Johan Sebastian Balz, being a great Uboat commander sank 50,726 BRT on my way back to base.
I also continued daily choir practice.
U-53, now nicknamed The Roasted Pinguin, will dock in Lorient's Kereman docks at 0930 hrs. on 12 January 1941 for a triumfal return. At that time I will be available to accept greetings, kudos, congratulations and accolades.
With the money made from the U-53 choir performances while ashore I nvite all Kaleuns for a party worthy of Balz El Magnifico. Where you will again have an opportunity of showing your esteem toward my persona.
