J.S. Balz Reports:
28 December 1940
Winny Churchill doesn't like me either. He sent the aircraft carrier Illustrious to get me. A flock of Stringbags attacked me 500 kilometres west of Cape Sao Vicente and two bombs caused extensive damage to the boat. Suspect the hull to be at 20%.
Thanks to my superior leadership and outstanding seamanship we stopped the widespread flooding in all compartments and evaded Winnie's murderous henchmen.
Heading back to base with detour to Cape Sao Vicente for some ship shopping. Can't have Balz El Magnifico return without some decent tonnage.
Kptlt. Johan Sebastian Balz the Magnificent.
