There is an ideal zero gyro angle,while engaging,as well as various from 4 to 8 meter running depthes,and nevertheless all torpedoes just bump away from those Scapa Flow tankers and Troop Transport.
I am in September 1939.Maybe this an implemented early war torpedoe failure feature,if it's implemented in GWX of course,that is the fault?

The angle Canovaro mentioned is not gyro angle, but the angle at which the torpedo strikes the hull og the ship.
Ideally, you want the torpedo to hit at a 90 degree angle (perpendicular to the hull)
