You don't even need DVDs. Just compartmentalize your hard drive by having your windows installation seperate from your data partition so that if Windows needs to be reinstalled you can wipe out that entire partition without worrying about losing a thing. I've been very unlucky with WIndows and had to reinstall multiple times this year, but I didn't lose a single file (not until my entire drive failed hehe... he... huh
).
Just a bit of advice, windows needs to be the first thing on the hard drive. Its mental.
