I think it wouldnt have made any difference to the outcome of the war. Simply not enough boats to sink more ships that were built. |
This is a perfect case where in trying for perfection they failed to produce something that was very good.
Even if Germany could have fielded operational XXIs a year or two earlier. It is doubtful they wiuld have had the numbers needed for a decisive victory in the Atlantic.
