I get the impression that Wijbrandus means (correct me if I'm wrong) that when TC is high game drops back to 1x, the crew says aircraft spotted, but you have already taken a lot of damage!

If so there is a Mod by Der Teddy Bar that fixes this, mine drops back to 1x now & often have time to dive without being spotted (If I'm quick - crash dive).
