So CHEERS to both the GW and NYGM teams for all that they have accomplished and all they will bring to us in the future. 
From my own personnal experience, I played SH3 from day 1. Good game but got shelved as they do eventually. GW got me to re-install this game and NYGM actually has me excited to come home and be able to play a mission now.
If circumstance ever brings us together you got a big sloppy kiss commin and the 1st round of beers is on me

Personally I see no positives from the situation that NYGM & GW found themselves in, but it is the way that it is.
I do agree that GW has brought a lot to the game and is a great Mod and definitely worthy of the praise it gets.
I am very happy to hear that NYGM have added a level of excitement previously missing in SHIII. I can certainly relate to how you feel as the randomness is such that even I, when playing my Wolves of War (see signature) career do not 'know' and for example yesterday I spent 90 minutes real time penetrating the convoys escorts for a night time surface attack. Constantly checking the escort for any indication that they had detected me, very tense, very exciting. Bagged myself a large tanker and a small merchant and escaped rearward of the convoy
