If you cannot write to FileManager.dll, it means you also cannot write to SH4.exe for the use of LAA or the 4Gig Patch. This indicates that you need to select the two files, right-click on them, choose "Properties", and on that first "General" tab, at the bottom under "Attributes", clear the "Read-only" tick box so that they can be written to. Then run MultiSH4 and LAA (or 4Gig) again, set them to what you want. The 3 letter limit of MultiSH4 is a function of the game and FileManager.dll. As such, use "descriptive" folder names such as "DW6" or "OME" or "FRS", or "TMO" or whatever. Something different from "SH4". If you cannot remember the name of your folder when it comes time to edit or investigate data in the folder, just run that particular MultiSH4 instance again, and it will show the folder name.
