Does the SH5 UPlay game require the UPlay to be in a Program Files folder? How many folks with issues have UPlay in the Program Files folder?...
I wonder about the configurations of the individual computers, including the OS used - however:

The information i had to add is that i run a older Version of TWOS (since i didnt update any Mods so far) which is v2.2.9

Dunno if this helps to find the root cause but maybe you can at least ignore the latest changes.
I find this ~very~ interesting

My SH5 is Steam, not UPlay, but on my Windows 10 64-bit, I have a Ubisoft UPlay SH4 v1.5 game, and when installing it, the installer saw my Steam installs of SHIII & SH5, and offered to bring them into the same folder and put them on the Start menu, which I did. During the install path dialog with UPlay, I chose to install UPlay, and all Silent Hunter games in "C:\Ubisoft\" by deleting the "Program Files (x86)\" portion of the path. I re-did my Steam SH5 install the other day, to test things with Steam and UPlay, and everything went well, including after the UPlay 'update' downloaded and installed. I can play SH5 with TWoS just fine - but it is Steam inside the UPlay folder - NOT in a Program Files folder. However, I can start it from either front-end, or from the SH5.exe file. My case is probably a rather unusual set-up. My Windows 7 desktop computer's Steam SH5 is fine inside its Steam install, which is also NOT in a Program Files folder. With all installs and mod activations, the Save folder has been emptied, even for seemingly minor mod alterations.
