Streaming all my SH4 FOTRSU gameplay to twitch has turned out to be a real good thing for capturing and sharing what I am seeing and experiencing. No local hard disk space used to store long videos. I can stream 5 hours of gameplay and then go back to the video and select precisely what I need to share what I saw.
Very useful Immelmann, thank you. Both ships appear to be wallowing in the seas, which as you say are heavy, but not the heaviest. You can see the Combi shipping water over the bow a bit, and the Transport is not sitting correctly in the water. Maybe after CapnScurvy recuperates from his latest round of testing, we can have him look at those two. I'll do me a test mission in the meantime, and see if I can figure out the sea state those two go down in. The ships don't actually 3D generate until just beyond visual, so it doesn't take them long to go down...

The only AI battles i’ve Seen in my silent hunter career, are in SH5 and SH3...never SH4.
So i’m Not sure i could report about this...i’m Sorry.

But that’s good news if team is trying to look at this problem
We left the RakJap7 Single Mission in the game on purpose, which is listed as "Test of Nagato" on the menu. It is an old AOTD_MadMax test mission. The Bismarck and Nagato, along with a Tonan Maru Catapult ship line-up against the BB Tennessee, BB Nevada, BB Queen Elisabeth and BB West Virgina, duking it out from about 5200 yards across from each other. Very loud, fps killer, but a great test for this kind of stuff. Stick your scope up near the NKSS_Cat, and see if they don't try to take the lense out for you. Gives you a good idea of close and medium distance AI visual, but not definitive, the way CapnScurvy tests. Just gives you an idea of how well things are working.

I have seen Battle of Coral Sea and Battle of Midway in let's play videos, though was never in position to partake in either of these.

I recommend hanging around just north of Surabaya on Feb 27, if you want to see a surface battle. Not sure if it takes place in FOTRS.
Some of the battles are in FotRSU, but are not scripted to the detail level that lurker_hlb3 did for RSRDC. We have borrowed some of his concepts, and you'll find a lot of that in the Aleutians traffic layer, but most of the battles in FotRSU are the ones that were originally Stock, re-worked for TMO v1.7, and made compatible with FotRSU, which is still a moving target. The best layer to get in the middle of is the East Asia Campaign.mis, which includes from the beginning through the Northern Borneo invasions. We haven't put any Daihatsu landing craft in there, and all of the groups are represented quite a bit smaller than the real thing, but there is a lot going on from the beginning of December 1941 through February 1942. It is a bit difficult to attach any of the groups though, especially in an S-18 class boat... While there is a BurmaJawa layer, We do not have a specific Java Sea battle in that yet, but will eventually
