We were without power, phones etc for over 24 hours, rather isolated here. I was amazed that an antenna mounted on 2" water pipe bent, the mast head broke off. Some of the roof iron was torn off the verandah, one tree was blown over with the roots now in the air with a large clump of soil, naturally it had to fall on a fence!!
My wife's poor garden built under a tree is badly damaged but the tree is smashed. We had 3 antennas up, all have been bent over.
Could have been a lot worse though, at least the house is ok.
It's gonna take a while to clean up the mess and repair the damage!
This is the first time a cyclone has hit the SA coast, IIRC 22 electricity towers were flattened. Crazy weather!!
Glad you and your wife and house made it through okay. Tornado's can be a scary thing. One of the oddest things I have ever seen was a water spout.

The store ran out of water within one hour or so of getting another nine pallets in and more are expected tonight or really early tomorrow morning.
It was reported it had weakened a bit as it was moving along. Hoping you and your family and everyone else in that area will remain safe and that the hurricane turns East as they say it will.
