Yes, values of 0 up to 200 are the metres-squared (square-metres) at which the asdic can detect you. If you set a value of 10000 (instead of 200), then asdic will only detect objects of around 100m x 100m - bigger than a U-boat! (Of course, the devs may not permit so large a figure, so this idea might not work.)
