Pressing the SH5.exe only takes you to Uplay.
When you press the Uplay SH5 play button it returns back to the play button again so will not load the game until Sweet FX is disabled from JSGME.

Guys, be extremely careful with SweetFX especially if you enable/disable it with JSGME, like I do. Remember that it's
dll files are "active" even with Goblin or Mission Editor turned ON, despite the fact that the game is OFF...
Removing the Sweet FX in mentioned situation will result with incomplete mod removal and you wont be able to start the game anymore.
When this happen , you should trace all SweetFX files and folders and MANUALLY delete them from your main game folder. This shouldnt pose big problem because SFX and SH5 dont have any common files in the first place.
You Peter should remove your SFX by JSGME or whatever and make sure that "
d3d9.dll" isn't remaining in your main SH5 folder...
