Not sure there is a way to fix this.

well that's where I got the idea of the in division matchups from

now every division has its usual weak team but you can in most cases pick the average top two teams from each division and when they play each other, that is the game you pick to put on Monday night.

for me its Saints vs Atlanta, no matter how good or bad either team is twice a season each time when they play its a good close game and im sure everyone can say something like that in there area so you have two games right there that would be a good reliable choice to pick from.

I think there is always a chance of the occasional stinker game but it was only a few years ago when they would still wait to schedule games only a few weeks in advance so they make sure to get the best games on tv. unfortunately because they have to lock in the game so far ahead because of all the $$$$ in stadium bookings and other bs stuff related to tv they have to pick the matchups so far in advance now.

even college has gone away from that as evidenced as the Alabama vs north florida school for the blind they played on the featured TV game, that was just pathetic but college is a whole other issue with the top teams playing local high schools just to get 5-6 "free" wins every season and ensure themselves a perfect unbeaten record. it started out as a revenue sharing for poorer schools but quickly turned into a cheating system to avoid playing too many tough games.
