Thanks! Glad to BE back! I had my eyes on this latest install of the Silent Hunter series for a long time, but life got in the way (I KNOW how much I love this genre, it's like crack!
) and the bad reviews plus the memories of the fights back with SH3 and how that baby didn't exactly launch right either didn't help.
On the other hand, my memories of how this community turned SH3 into everything it should have been and then some ALSO made me know that, one day, I'd be sucked right back in and enjoying every second of it
That moment has arrived, and I couldn't be happier. Firing up all of the sound files that I spent ages compiling back then (it seems they've survived, at least some of them, in various music mods out there and, by the way, I still have all of that period music, God knows how many GBs of it, in case anybody is interested), brushing off my dusty Kaleun's hat and ready to set out for the open sea again
