A bit off topic perhaps but just a note on the importance of the Manos Scopes -

I can't use Manos scopes - so I am stucking using the regular periscopes when using RAOFB method - which i generally use if I come upon a ship that I havent been able to track with hydrophones using the regular 4 bearing method - or to check my speed and aob calculations - or in a convoy that I have already attacked and all the ships have started evasive manuevers. Even with the stock periscopes I usally find the method very useful and fairly accurate.

However -where i think it does make a difference is where that extra bit of accuracy is required - at long range or if the ship is heading away from you and the AOB is a negative figure. I almost always miss in this situation - as someone said earlier you can basically kissi it goodbye if its at this solution and at 15 knots or greater.

Anyway - Im just trying to make the point that the RAOFB method can certainly be used without Manos scopes (and generally used very effectively if you are careful) - but yes it seems to me that its not 100 per cent accurate - for all the times folks talk about the game being too easy and not realistic enough I think this actually adds an extra dimension of immersion - surely it wasnt as easy as it is in game to target ships (even at 100 percent realism as I play)??
