A little OT: I think it's the area, or country. Not that I have that much experience with American women, but they behave in the same manner than their Kraut counterparts when they are in Germany. However I think you're right that it looks more aggressive or "conquering" - I'd prefer open
- than it appears in the US.
I think this is also related to the fact that you see less people holding hands or kissing on Americas streets than you can see here. Maybe it's the air
