Would normally just start again but I just clocked 1million ton patrol with 9 refits :| and my only save is with dead engines :|

You need to organise your saves better
Im not sure but I think I had all engines destroyed once. After the escort
gave up a left, I surface and spent two days fixing engines.
I cant remember if they were 100% or not, but it was close as I had to
surface to about 100m as I could not maintain depth and this was very worring with the escort looking for me
