One of many more to come that you will now be honor-bound to share with everyone here.
Don't worry, in most cases we've all been there and done that. Personal favorites:
- ordering a crash dive in 40 meters of water
- inadvertently plotting a course across several kilometers of dry land
- running into very large things I should've seen coming, most notably Denmark
And the most recent debacle, killing my entire crew just moments from docking after a very successful patrol when I decided to play chicken with the gates of one of the Wilhelmshaven locks.
